Soybean wax is a plant-based waxy substance extracted from soybean oil. Through hydrogenation or ester exchange processes, the fatty acid glycerides in soybean oil are converted into solid wax. Its main components are glycerides of palmitic acid, stearic acid and oleic acid, and its chemical structure is similar to that of beeswax, but it is completely derived from renewable plant resources.
